Director, IT
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for directing and implementing corporate IT initiatives that support the strategy and goals of Viewership Data Lake. Organizes and directs IT functions, including software, infrastructure development and maintenance, applications programming/analysis and enterprise systems development and administration. Provide technical direction on design and development of all Hadoop strategies by working with the business to ensure thereports have accurate data.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Implements IT standards, policies and/or master plan for the IT function according to the IT and corporate strategy
Guides the maintenance and enhancement of hardware and software systems that support business applications.
Stabilize, standardize and implement the operating model for enterprise to maintain a successful delivery of projects which requires timely delivery and quality of service.
Deploy IT staff to ensure uninterrupted support at maximum performance.
Maintain a close collaboration with business partners and develop requirements, planning and execution of projects.
Excellent management skills including managing technical resources(developers and testers for Hadoop technology), raising and resolving issues and risks, managing timelines, interfacing with project managers, offshore teams etc.
Manage contractors/consultants as necessary to achieve departmental objectives.
Maintain Operating Level and Service Level Agreements in accordance with business expectations.
Ensures field compliance with IT standards, policies and procedures
Accountable for the function's budgets and approves related capital expenditures
Assists with the creation and successful management of multi-million dollar budgets
Assists with negotiating multi-million dollar contracts with third-party vendors
Advise IT leadership of enhancements to existing applications and implementation of new systems.
Provide strategic guidance and technical assistance to IT staff and business partners.
Continually evaluate technology strategies including Hadoop etc. and guide the organization in their successful deployment to improve the organization's internal operations and data delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Basic computer skills, with proficiency with Word and Excel
Knowledge of computer and/or network systems, applications, procedures and techniques

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
Ability to learn and support new systems and applications

BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience
