Intern - Accounting

Job Summary
The Intern, Corporate Accounting will work with the Corporate Accounting Group to ensure that the monthly close supports financial statements that are prepared in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles and SEC Rules and Regulations. This position will support the Corporate general accounting team by assisting in the maintenance of the global consolidation, journal entries, general ledger, balance sheet, income statement, intercompany, maintenance and analytical reviews. This requires interaction with individuals internal and external to the organization. The position will report to the Director of Corporate Accounting.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, review, and submission of consolidated monthly close
Assist in detail account review of global general ledger balances
Assist in intercompany reconciliation assistance
Assist in cash step plan process assistance
Assist in acquisition integration assistance
Assist in manual load account mapping review for system integration
Assist in reconciliation of information provided in QBRs/MBRs (if any) to site general ledgers
Attention will focus on one project of developing a meaningful and accurate monthly close financial review packet for the Corporate Controller.
Required Qualifications
Pursing a degree in Accounting or Finance
Active learner - able to enhance personal, professional and business growth through new knowledge and experiences; pushes the organization to learn from other industries' standards and practices.
No travel required
High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects.
Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
