Job Summary
We are actively seeking a talented, Accounting Intern to join our Accounting and Finance Solar Material team for the delivery and support of month end and quarter end financial closes, to support department lead initiatives for process improvements, and to support analytical projects. The ideal candidate will assist the overall end-to-end process work stream throughout the entire accounting life cycle and be involved in Financial Systems and accounting process improvement support and development. Candidates will learn what it takes to analyze and manage the financial aspects of a growing technology investment company.
The candidate must be able to communicate and interact with both business and technology counterparts throughout the organization. The individual should be proactive, organized, comfortable multitasking in a fast pace environment and possess strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the month end Accounting close
Assist in data migration and data validation
Create quality documentation and assisting research and analysis documentation, report designs, and training material to support department initiatives
Responsible for creating job-aids and helping to implement accounting best practices.
o Review the existing business processes and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our systems
o Provide support (requirements gather, testing, data conversion, post implementation support, and technical reviews) for new projects
Participate in the due diligence efforts for evaluating Solar Materials Accounting Processes
Skill Development (accounting and business development during term)
Gain of a broad experience supporting operational Accounting
Operational review

Qualifications
High level of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
Strong organization, analytical skills, and attention to detail
Ability to pick up new concepts quickly
Interested in gaining broad experience in Accounting
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Able to work effectively at all levels of the organization; with team members, managers and senior leaders

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
