TITLE :

Maryland Heights, MissouriJOB SUMMARY :
Develop, modify, enhance, and implement the Teradata MDM/RDM solution designed to support new and existing big data business initiatives.
Utilize Database modeling tools such as ER Studio to build and design Normalized data structures to integrate various sources and tables into the Teradata database.
Code, test, and debug new software or make enhancements to existing software.
Build business, cleansing or data enrichment rules using SQL or Teradata proprietary software utilities.
Research data issues and inquires.
Create Methods of Procedure for the testing and production environment.
Identify and resolve issues and risks and recommend mitigation strategies to achieve MDM and integration software reliability.
Perform data analysis, data profiling, data lineage, and business and cleansing rule creation and modification in Teradata based on customer input.
Code and perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements.
Serve as a secondary escalation point to resolve incidents and problems for production applications and web services in accordance with identified Service Level Agreements.
Identify software problems and communicate remediation plans.
Generate a variety of complex and periodic reports and data through database management, data administration, and data extraction techniques.
Design, implement, and run systematic compliance reports in SQL or Teradata proprietary tool set.
Influence system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements.
Define, capture, and maintain technical metadata through complex modeling tools and software delivery coding.
Implement stored procedures to retrieve data from the back-end database and optimized queries for better performance.
Analyze, model, and design end user software solutions for reporting and database management.
Execute or leverage proprietary Teradata utilities, such as MLOAD, TPT, and FLOAD as needed.
Validate adherence with development standards through code review sessions.
Use the Teradata viewpoint monitoring tool to trace blocks in production and lower environment, and to monitor system health and input output skew.
Perform Tomcat server activities using putty sessions and Visual studios, clear logs, and maintain performance issue on server side.
Develop and configure MDM platforms and data warehousing solutions to meet business needs.
Maximize the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing, and auditing new software programs.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Must have 3 years of experience with data modeling to conduct, design, and document structural database elements required for solution delivery leveraging modelling tools; 2 years of experience using SQL to create and maintain database tables and complex schemas, including business rules and workflows; developing scripts, automation routines, and stored procedures using Teradata Studio, BTEQ, or Visual Basic; using Tomcat on Linux for data management; and utilizing ETL, SSIS, and TPT to automate data delivery from sources to target application.
